The Istana is the official residence and office of the President of Singapore, meaning “palace” in Malay. In June 2014, it was a great honor for Superb to prepare an event structure for his excellency to receive and entertain state guests.
The marquee was a brand new designed 40*40m curve tent with a smooth and symmetric outline of its curve arms, generating an special “heart” shape appearance. It was a surprise when the tent was erected, the fashionable design came out to have no conflict against the 18th-century landscape.
It was worth mentioning that, engineers of Superb Tent creatively added stand columns under the curve arms so that glass walls and doors were applicable to curve tents. This did not conform to the usual practices. However, the engineers showed their expertise and originality in the project.
